The Greenery UK is part of international fruit and vegetable business The Greenery BV

The main activity of The Greenery worldwide is to provide a complete range of fruit, vegetables and mushrooms to supermarket chains across Europe, North America and the Far East throughout the year.

Greenery UK is a market-oriented sales company which is a subsidiary of The Greenery BV, owned by more than 1,000 Dutch fruit and vegetable growers through the cooperative, The Greenery UA. To ensure a complete and year round assortment Greenery UK cooperates with suppliers from all over the world.

What is now Greenery UK was established in 1965 as Superior International Ltd and was later acquired by the Van Dijk Group.

In 1997 Superior relocated to a new purpose built state of the art packing facility in Thrapston, Northamptonshire, where loose produce in bulk was imported and packed in the UK before forwarding to customers.

The Van Dijk Group, including Superior, was sold to Greenery International in 1998, which then merged with Waling van Geest and Disselkoen in Holland to form Greenery UK BV.

During 2001 the company started trading as Greenery Superior and acquired new businesses such as Fresh Produce Services (FPS) and Minnaar Group.

Throughout 2003 and 2004, Greenery Superior signed marketing agreements with several international and UK companies such as Humber VHB, Cornerways Nursery and Victoria Trading.

During 2004 Greenery Superior became Greenery UK Limited. The pack house facility was sold and we relocated to Huntingdon from where we now manage the import of ready packed produce to supermarkets and stores as well as providing a sales and marketing office.

The Greenery UK joined the British Tomato Growers Association in May 2009 to highlight its commitment to UK growers.
